Description	Background and business issue Our client, a leading manufacturer of consumer packaged goods was planning the implementation of SAP for their Thai operations. Their operations included 5 manufacturing plants and a distribution network. After the SAP system went live, they wanted to outsource the entire SAP operations to a 3rd party provider. Given the scale of their business and the potential risks associated with this project, the client project sponsor sought advisory services from Freewill Solutions. Approach/ Solution Freewill Solutions was hired to act as an advisor to the project sponsor and to the project steering committee. Freewill provided the following services in this engagement : Defining project scope Establishing the project procurement process including RFP development for the implementation as well as the outsourcing (establishing service level agreements, etc.) Evaluation of bidders Technical support during contract negotiations Ongoing quality assurance during the SAP implementation
Result	The project went live on schedule and the project sponsor and steering committee had a clear understanding of what issues were outstanding at the time of go live. The client successfully outsourced their SAP operations and application support.
