Background and business issue
This client had engaged a 3rd party SAP software implementer to work with them in implementing SAP R/3. Due to the very rapid implementation timeframe (5 months) and the complexity of the implementation (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM) senior management was concerned that they were not focusing their attention on the important aspects of the implementation and did not have clarity on the issues.
Approach/ Solution
Freewill Solutions was hired to act as an advisor to the project sponsor and to the project steering committee.
Freewill’s consultants conducted an assessment of the project to understand the actual project status and critical issues. The team then set up a weekly “Go Live Readiness Assessment” process to track project progress and to help the steering committee and organization to address priority issues. |
