Background and business issue
Due to the complexity of the “organizational tree” and the frequency of organizational change, the company was having a difficult time to main its data. The client was thus interested in uitilizing a powerful HRMS Software to make improvements over their legacy system. Thus, in line with their strategic vision, the client engaged a 3 rd party Human Capital Management software implementer to work with them in implementing PeopleSoft.
Challenges included the complexity in the database structure of legacy systems and the need for integration between various systems. Interfaces were required for legacy systems such as the Payroll System and Customer Service System. Accordingly, the project owner required good quality and professional consultant to set out the project approach, methodology, and implementation plan.
Approach/ Solution
Freewill Solutions was hired to act as an advisor to the project sponsor and to the project steering committee. A PeopleSoft group template was provided as the solution. Freewill’s consultants conducted an assessment of the project to understand the actual project status, business requirements, and critical issues. The implementation plan was designed and the team was set up to implement the project. Due to the complexity of the organizational tree, the design of an appropriate coding structure was a key success factor in delivering the project. The implemented PeopleSoft modules are: Position Management, Workforce Administrator, Recruitment, Manage Training, Competency Management, etc.
